Welcome

Message from the principal:

Welcome back! We are off to a great start here at Declo Junior High School. Classes are in full swing and so are our fall activities. The first couple weeks of school, we are testing students to get baseline data to measure students and their achievement.

We have had some growth in our sixth grade classes. We are up to 91 students. This is a great dilemma to have and we have adjusted schedules accordingly. Also with the addition of 8th grade AG class we have had a few scheduling glitches. I believe we now have everything settled! Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

We have begun our first stage of construction.  This is taking place between the school and the gymnasium. We are adding an ADA ramp as well as putting in some infrastructure for the future elementary. This area should be under construction until the first or second week of October. Construction should then be finished until school is out next spring.

We are always looking for volunteers for PTO and any other parent involved programs. If you are interested in volunteering at Declo Junior High please give us a call.

We are excited about this new school year and we look forward to working with you and your child.

Mr. Muir
